    Recognized as the leader of terroir philosophy worldwide, Mr. de Villaine is the President of the Association des Climats du Vignoble de Bourgogne, co-owner of the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, and owner of the Domaine A & P de Villaine in Bouzeron. Under his leadership, in July 2015 Burgundy was recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site after nearly a decade of effort. During the tasting, Mr. De Villaine will introduce the wines of both Domaine de la Romanée-Conti and Domaine A & P De Villaine

    Domaine Emmanuel Rouget is indisputably one of the most respected wineries in Burgundy. The owner, Mr. Emmanuel Rouget, is also the only direct heir of the late legendary winemaker Henri Jayer, as his nephew. In the tasting 8 wines will be served, some of them almost impossible to find on the market including the rare Echezeaux Grand Cru 2001; les Beaumonts 2008, one of the most famous 1er Cru of Vosne-Romanée; 2 different vintages of Vosne-Romanée Village, 1998 and 2008; Nuits-Saint-Georges Village 2001. An extremely rare opportunity to experience a such tasting with a family member of the owner of such a legendary winery

    Marchesi di Barolo is one of the oldest wineries in Barolo. World-renowned wine critic Ian D'Agata and Valentina Abbona (Marchesi di Barolo’s 6th generation) will conduct together a wonderful vertical tasting of Barolo Cru Sarmassa, covering more than 50 years, from 1958 to 2011 vintages. With 1988, 1979 and 1958 vintage served, it will be an unique occasion to see how lovely this wine can age. The Cru, for several years awarded with Gambero Rosso 3 glassed (the top score for Italian wines), is rich and concentrated, but at the same elegant, with soft and velvety tannins. The tasting will present the ultimate performance of Barolo's best terroir and a winery that carries 200 years of heritage

     It will be a very exceptional tasting guided by Ernst, Erni, Loosen, one of the most sought after German wine producers. Dr.Loosen owns those of the oldest vines and the best vineyards in the Mosel region: 6 of them were already designated as Erste Lage (equivalent to grand cru) in the 1868 Prussian classification of Mosel vineyards. The famous and charismatic Ernst Loosen will present 8 Riesling wines from 4 different Grosse Gewachs terroirs, the German equivalent to Grand cru of Burgundy. The tasting will be a charming Riesling journey to discover all the potential of this wonderful grape variety and the peculiarities that different great terroirs can offer to the wine.

    The importance of terroir in wine is unquestionable. The greatest wines are all authentic interpretation of grand terroirs. But how to taste and recogonise the terroir characteristic in a wine? How to systematically understand and explain the complex and subtle terroir influences to a wine? Jacky Rigaux, scholar and advocate of the geo-sensorial tasting(dégustation geo-sensorielle), and Stéphane Derenoncourt, who always emphasizes the importance of respecting terroir and the nature in winemaking, will guide us through this masterclass the methodology of tasting terroir. This will be a rare occasion to listen to the two great experts together discussing about the differences  and commons of great terroirs in Bordeaux and Burgundy.

    This terroir tasting will be hosted by 3 great experts of Barolo and Barbaresco region: Ian D'Agata, world-renowned Italian wine critic, one of the greatest Italian wine expert in the world; Federico Scarzello, president of Barolo Wineries Association; and Giuseppe Vajra from G.D. Vajra winery, author of important researches on Barolo terroir. The panel selected 12 representative wines produced in different areas of the two appellations, including renowned estates like Ceretto, Pio Cesare, GD Vajra, Marchesi di Barolo, La Spinetta; particularly the selection comprehends wines from especially recognized crus, such as Sarmassa, Villero, Ornato, Bricco delle Viole. For those who love Italian wine, this is absolutely an exceptional feast not to be missed

    This terroir tasting will be hosted by two great connoisseurs of the famous appellation of Saint-Emilion on Bordeaux's right bank: Bernard Burtschy, world-renowned wine critic, president of French wine media Association (APV), wine expert of Le Figaro; and Alain Moueix, president of the Association of Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé. With a careful selection of 15 wines from 13 St-Emillion Grand Cru Classé, this masterclass will draw a clear map of different terroirs composition of Saint-Emillion by the comparison of the 2012 vintages. And another 2 exceptional 2005 vintage wines in closure will present great examples of the aging development of this important appellation
