Bernard Burtschy

World-renowned wine critic, President of French wine press association (APV), permanent member of Grand Jury Européen, principal consultant of and TasteSpirit Wine Academy.

He writes for l’Avis du Vin, a weekly column in French publication Le Figaro. In addition, he contributes to a number of other publications in the French press, including Amateur de Bordeaux and Amateur de Cigare, as well as Wands in Japan and Feinschmecker in Germany.

In 2016, he received the Golden Orange International Award Wine Press given by World Gastronomy Institute in Madrid. Outside of the world of wine, Burtschy is Professor Emeritus of statistics at the École Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications in Paris.
